Watch Repair
In addition to selling fine Swiss watches, McCaskill & Company offers on-site watch repair and service and changing watch batteries. Repair services from basic quartz watches to more complicated Swiss masterpieces are available on-site Monday through Saturday.

Our watchmaker, Tim Ellenburg has over 30 years of experience in the field and is a certified Rolex technician. He participates in on-gong extensive training and has earned the reputation in the industry as being one of the finest of his craft.
Michael Griner Specializes in watch service and restoration of Rolex, Omega, and other fine timepieces. In 2016 he earned CW21 (Certified Watchmaker of the 21st Century) certificate from AWCI (American Watchmakers-Clockmakers Institute). He has had Rolex factory training on various Rolex caliber movements plus case and bracelet refinishing. In addition, Michael has had factory training from Omega and have passed their certification program.

McCaskill & Company offers custom and one of a kind jewelry pieces, designed and manufactured by our local master jeweler. If you are seeking a custom jewelry design that is unique to you, our associates will work with you in the design. CAD (computer aided design technology), sketches with realistic renderings, or wax modeling are provided to ensure that the piece is designed as you have envisioned. In addition our designers, Erica Courtney, Omi Privé, and Gurhan have delighted our customers in Destin with custom jewelry designs that are exceptional – utilizing customer's own gems or complete designs.

Jewelry Appraisals
McCaskill & Company is pleased to offer on-site jewelry and watch appraisal services in Destin by Heartland Gemology. Sharon L. Puhrmann, G.G., Principal, Heartland Gemology, has an extensive background in jewelry appraisal in Destin. She has been a Certified Gemologist since 2002 and has over 30 years of experience in the jewelry business. Heartland Gemology provides documentation for replacement of Diamonds; Colored Gemstones; Pearls, and many Brand-Name Watches.
An appraisal is a document that describes an item, assesses its relative quality and assigns a value to it. Descriptions usually cover the visible, measurable and analyzable facts about the item (weight, materials, markings). Most jewelry appraisals also describe subjective features such as gemstone quality, relative rarity and overall quality of manufacture.
The core of the jewelry appraisal process, gemology, is taught by Gemology Institute of American (GIA) and a few other groups around the world and is a very scientific process. The ‘G.G.’ after most appraisers’ signature stands for Graduate Gemologist and is a diploma issued by GIA for expertise in gemology. GIA teaches a rigorous approach to grading involving a standardized environment, microscopic examination, comparison stones for color, and a variety of tools for evaluation.
