Henri Daussi founded the company 60 years ago in Antwerp, Belgium under the name Andiamond. Since diamonds are the local trade in Antwerp, almost everyone in the family’s history worked or was involved with the diamond business. Henri, being the master diamond craftsman, was the first to build a unique cutting wheel that cuts into a diamond. With his new cutting technology, he cut the first perfect heart shape diamond. The heart shape put Henri Daussi on the “Diamonds Business” map and from that point on, things skyrocketed. Still today, the Antwerp office is used as a contractor to cut some of the world’s largest, rarest heart shape diamonds.
Today’s focus is on the Daussi Cushion engagement ring. Offering both traditional cut cushions and Daussi Cushions, any size, elongated or square, in a variety of style, the company is always available to help with your search for the perfect diamond.

Samuel Jewels
Sunday, December 20th, 2009Samuel Jewels, Inc. was founded by Steve Samuel (second generation) and Camille Samuel (third generation) who combined have 100 years of jewelry experience and knowledge. Two men with a trade and a dream, immigrants from the Mardin region of Turkey, lived together in White Plains, NY and attempted to reach their goal in a country where they could not even speak the language. The company specializing in exceptional fine crafted wedding bands, represents four generations of expert hand-crafted artisanship. The tradition began with Samo Samuel in the ancient Byzantine region, recognized for many centuries as an area that cultivates exceptional hand-crafted metal work. Samo was a blacksmith who used his steady hand and keen eye to give his customers flawless art work in areas ranging from tea sets to serving platters made from gold and silver.
The next generation learned the trade from their father, Samo, and expanded and improved upon it, branching out into the field of jewelry. The sons, some of who are still working in jewelry until today are involved in every facet of the jewelry business. Once again, the new generation learned their trade from their fathers, but developed their skills to find their own niches in the jewelry business. The involvement of the Samuel family is as expansive today as it has been at any other time in history, with thirteen descendents of Samo still carrying on the family craft. Wedding rings Destin FLA.

Steven Kretchmer

Steven Kretchmer is recognized as being the most visible innovator on the American jewelry scene today. Fascinated with metals since childhood, Kretchmer ‘s curiosity grew over the years into an insatiable need to know more – and to use his knowledge to further his craft.
Kretchmer’s route to precious metal and jewelry design and technology followed an unusual path. Initially he tried fishing in Alaska, attended the Rhode Island School of Design, and then worked for a famous jeweler in Italy. He studied and mastered martial arts and earned black belts in three forms. Kretchmer later attended the University of Michigan and earned a master of fine arts degree in the metals program, where he was nicknamed the “mad scientist”. After his formal education, his genius and energy were hard to conceal. Today he holds numerous patents and is revered internationally for his innovations in the jewelry industry. His continual development and use of unique precious metals, displayed in ageless designs with diamonds and gems, added new dimensions to the fine art of jewelry.
While his wife and partner, Alma, ran the business, Steven played alchemist, formulating new alloys and researching several directions in precious metallurgy at one time. The laboratory and business is located in a renovated 1899 schoolhouse in upstate New York. The couple died within a year of each other and now daughter, Claudia, also a gifted designer, continues the family brand.
